I hate getting spam

I hate getting spam. You probably hate getting spam too. I'm going to put my tips for preventing and/or reacting to spam on this page as I have time to do so.

Warning: Some of these will cause you to lose E-mail, possibly legitimate E-mails. If this is not an option for you, please do not try any of these.

Use spamcop or another such reporting service to report spam you receive. See their FAQs for details.
Try out razor to block known spam and/or report the spam you receive.
Use a blocking service that blocks known spam servers and/or open mail relays.
Switch to a good E-mail client with intelligent filtering like Mozilla Thunderbird (which I use).
Write some auto-blocking scripts that block all future E-mails from servers and/or senders that send messages to fake collected addresses you control.
(An example of such addresses is at the bottom of every one of my pages; I receive thousands of messages a week to these addresses and every one generates a spam report to spamcop and gets the offending server blocked for one week by my mail server).
